Sumner County provides educational support to more than 1500 English Language Learners (ELLs) from over 30 different language backgrounds. Qualifying students from Kindergarten through 12th grade receive specialized daily English classes at their zoned schools. There is no cost for the program, and all instructional materials are provided free of charge. Local ELL teachers will communicate information about services at individual schools as well as ways parents can help their children succeed in school.
